In the decades since their son Ronald L. Simpson died without having paid most of the $335 million judgment awarded to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, the Goldmans have grappled with a complex range of emotions.
In 1994, the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson, O.J. Simpson's ex-wife, and her friend Ronald Goldman were found brutally murdered outside of Nicole's Brentwood home. O.J. Simpson was subsequently charged with the murders, but was acquitted in a highly publicized trial.
In a recent interview, Ron Goldman's father, Fred Goldman, broke his silence on O.J. Simpson's death. "It's a mixed bag of complicated emotions," said Goldman. "On the one hand, I'm relieved that he's finally gone and can't hurt anyone else. But on the other hand, I can't help but feel a sense of sadness for his family and for the victims of his crimes."
Goldman said that he believes that Simpson's death is a reminder of the tragic events of 1994. "It's a reminder of the innocent lives that were lost and the pain that their families have endured," said Goldman. "It's also a reminder of the importance of justice and the need to hold those accountable for their crimes."
